I Knew It!

Study finds swearing helps pain

Here is a glimpse--
Scientists at England's Keele University say people swear when they hurt themselves because it actually reduces the pain.
But this is my favorite part--
The lead researcher got the idea after listening to his wife swear uncontrollably while delivering their child.

I said the Lord's name once during one of my labors, but I'm still claiming it was a really short fast prayer.

Huh. I didn't swear at all when I was in labor..but I've sworn many times since. I guess the bigger pain was raising The Kid?

That is so incredibly cool! I can't wait for tomorrow so I can swear some more! It's supposed to be over 100 outside, and if that isn't a pain, I don't know what is.
