As I drove the kids to school this morning I was quietly singing along with the radio when the following conversation ensued between the boy and the girl.
Kai: "Mom, I heard that." He looks at Madison, "I always hear everything."
Madison: "You couldn't know that you always hear everything because if you don't hear something you won't have heard it to know that you didn't hear it."
Kai: "Well I just meant that I always hear that."
** A brief moment of silence **
Madison: "Did you hear that?"
Kai: "Well, no one ever hears you."
Madison: "If no one ever hears me, how are we having the conversation?"
Kai: "What? I didn't hear you."

Oh my - that's so funny! It's like Plato and Aristotle got into an argument. Or, maybe it is more like Plato (Madison) and Eddie Murphy(Kai)? Either way, thanks for the laugh :)
They sound like an old, not so sweet married couple.
That's profound. I bet your sometimes wish you were profound too..profoundly deaf. Reminds me of a great Buffy quote, "I am my thoughts. If they exist in her, Buffy contains everything that is me and she becomes me. I cease to exist." (It's only cool if you've seen the episode, I know this but I'm sharing anyway.)
So do you drive around with a camera crew? This should be on TV. They've got great writers.
This little cast of charaters (you can use that title over their pictures on the right...)does't need great writers. They are a sit-com all by themselves. I am always amazed by some of the stuff they do that never makes it to the blog. When I spend time with Liz and the kids I often wonder what material she will use because there is so much.
