Apparently He Does Know Better

For Christmas we got Davis socks and sleepers. Oh, and we got him a cool sponge that has the soap IN IT. We didn't get him any toys and fun stuff because he is only 18 months old and wouldn't really care . . . .

Note for next year, he cares.

Davis spent Christmas morning stealing the other kid's gifts.

He successfully acquired a Yo Gabba Gabba hat, a John Deere lunch box, and a granola bar among other things.

His look of rejection will forever haunt me.  Well, at least for a week or two.

Get thee to a dollar store and buy a couple of things, all will be forgiven ;)

Tell him to get used to disappointment now. Life is like that. ;)

That picture is priceless. Just think of all the opportunities your other kids will have...learning to share :)

That's so sad. One year when Averi was about eight months old we were really broke, so we took the five dollars Averi's grandpa gave her and bought her a toy and pretended it was from us. She'll never know...

We kind of did the same thing to Sam. It isn't that he is too young, it is just he is the youngest and we aren't going to get a $100 toy that only he will enjoy (for who knows how long) and no other kids after him; Besides, he always just plays with his siblings toys anyway. Elisabeth's dolls are his favorite.
But yeah, if you really feel bad, just get him something delayed. He won't hold that against you.

I love that in every picture, Davis has that hilarious scowl on his face. He sure has mastered the furrowed brow.

Wow, yeah, Sheridan was furious with us that she didn't have more to open...and she also tried to steal everyone else's presents. I don't think it matters how much you get them at this age, it's never good enough!
