Mr. Happy

This is Chase and his personality right now.

These black and yellow shoes are his favorite. He calls them his "fire fighter boots."

He will only were Levi pants. If any other pair of pants is suggested he will tell me that "they're too big."

When ever he is sad or crying, he will say, "I want be happy." Then he'll take a deep breath and say, "Okay momma, I happy." I don't understand it, but I wish I could bottle it.

He and Sam must be kindred spirits. Sam will note after crying with wonder and awe. "Hey mom, I not crying anymore, I HAPPY!" or out of the blue will say "I not sad, I HAPPY" He also claims that red fruit snacks make him happy and orange ones make him sad. I need some more of those red ones in my life...

I want be happy too! What a stupendous talent!

Oh, Davis is still Davis and some of those curls will come back. I still get a little sad when I look at Felix's first pictures after his haircut. I guess that's why I'm still waiting for haircut #2. Funny thing is, his is only growing on the sides and back. I haven't had to trim the bangs at all yet.

So, I wish I knew what made Felix happy. I do know having both mom and dad around keep him content a lot longer than having just one of us. How's that for parental validation? :)

That's so cute! I love those little quirks.

Kids suck. They just remind us that we're not happy all the time.

Little Pukes!

When I'm sad and The Kid asks why I tell her, "Because ever since you came into my life it's been all about YOU and not all about ME!!".

It's a great way to blow off some steam.

And then she's happier afterwards when I tell her I was just kidding.

You should try this with your other kids and see if it helps them be happy too.
