After a frustrating track season all of Madison's hard work is finally paying off. She has placed in the top three in all but one (where she placed fourth) of her cross country races.
Madison is amazing. It was a thrill to see her run at BYU. It is exciting to be related to someone who is so fast. It stuns me. What an athlete! Go, Madison, go!
I wonder if she is old enough to enjoy the book _The Perfect Mile_? It is also available as an audio book. If not, then maybe in a year or two? I think a driven person like Madison would find it inspiring.
Wow. I hate running, so I really really admire someone who puts in the time to get better and to do well at it. (I'm guessing it wasn't like Wednesday's "The MIddle" where Sue thinks she's winning because she can't see anyone ahead of her...but really, she's so far behind everyone else that she's running until dark...). Congrats, Maddie!

A link to my review of the book I would recommend to Madison now or possibly in a year or two:

Well, I don't know how to make it a link. But anyway, there's the URL .
